The Big Guy

Davis = Pure excitment. Dylann = A little fear... But she pulled it together and pondered, "Is this really Santa Claus or could it be my Grandpa HoHo?"

MERRY! MERRY!

Off To The Races

The boys (Tim, Davis, Pop and Adam) headed to Anza so Adam could zoom around in a motorcycle race. How cool for the boys to do this?!? They left at 5:45am and acted as pit crew!

When I asked Davis to tell me about it he said "Uncle Adam crashed his motorcycle into the rocks (what!!!) but then he got back on his motorcycle and drove like this (shoots hand out), REAL FAST, back on the course." Typical boy... Crashes and scratches are the most memorable part ;) To his credit, Davis later told me "Uncle Adam went like this Mom, one! two! three! and he winned the race!" Check out Dr. Franklin in action!

Gingerbread Gentleman

A little house, lots of candy and one little boy who so sweetly sat telling me EVERYTHING on his mind (school, friends, Christmas, songs he knows, playground activities, the girl he would like to marry, eye color and funny things his sister does) while we decorated our hearts out.

He made himself, Dylann and Cole as the ginger-people and afterwards we snuggled in bed and he said "It's love being at home, right Mom?" I love this guy.

Figgy BOOTY

A few of you asked if the crowd got "booty" from Davis at the Christmas peformance, and I am ashamed to report, they did. HA. Luckily Davis did not have a solo and only I could read his lips, BUT I am proud to report he sang his heart out and gave me a thumbs up when he finished. Now seriously, he got the figgy down but how can I drill PUDDING into this kid's head for next year?!?

Oh Christmas Tree...

Well, we finally got our tree.

And no, we didn't take the kids to let them pick it out. Tim and I chose this one... On date night... After dinner, drinks and dancing with Katie and Justin... At just about the stroke of midnight. With $32 bucks cash pooled between us, we haggled at the tree lot after convincing them to re-open just for us. Yeah, it was a MEMORABLE one-of-those-nights ;) So here's our gem of a tree!!!

Slightly shorter, and squatter, and a little more lopsided than I remembered, but the kids LOVE it and it was a perfect surprise to bring home. And today with lots of rain, it was the perfect morning to decorate!

Let's see how long these ornaments last at toddler-height...

Santa Stumble

While cruising through a craft fair in Ojai, look who Davis stumbled upon???

He was ECSTATIC. He quickly told Santa he wants a bat mobile and a video game. Dylann waved smiling from the stroller and said "Hello!" Good sign for our upcoming Mall Santa visit ;)

Ventura

This lady is 60 YEARS FULL OF LIFE!

Grandma Nonna chose to celebrate her birthday with a weekend in Ventura and we could not agree more: Ventura is awesome! We stayed at "Gramma Nonna's best friend's house" as Davis put it, a perfect bungalow steps to the beach.

We visited Ojai, shopped our brains out and let the cuzzies climb, cuddle and crawl their way through the weekend. It was PERFECT. Happy Birthday Rosa!

Co-Sleeping

By the look of these pics, The D's have been pretty sleepy...

TOO. DARN. SWEET. Though it's far from actuality!

Laughing All The Way!

Merry Christmas from us to YOU! XO

Lights! Tootles! Action!

The kids are completely OBSESSED with all the Christmas lights around town. I've taken to running the stroller at dusk so we can see them all turn on, which is a fun little change-up. But the funniest thing is to hear Dylann - MOM!!! MOM!!! IIIIGHTS!! IIIIGHTS!!! Oooooooooohhhhhhh!!!!!!! It's pretty fun to hear her voice filled with enthusiasm and what an observant little thing she is :)

Tootles our Elf has returned for the Christmas season, and man that elf is sneaky ;)

He hides all over the house and who is the first one to spy him 90% of the time? DYLANN!

Choo Choo

Dylann loves the trains that pass through town, and just like her brother at this age, loves to watch Thomas the Train! She cutely says "chooo oooo woooh" so I decided it was time to get her on the Irvine Park choo choo! Of course Davis didn't mind the outting either...

And I liked it too! After the train we cruised the OC Zoo (Dylann was among her peeps in the goat petting area, this girl SERIOUSLY likes animals), then Davis had the brillant idea to feed ducks 99% of our lunch and lastly Davis rode yet another pony, this time Freddy got the job. Wish I had more photos but my camera battery died just after this shot of monkey man in a tree...

PreSchool Portrait

Say Cheese! It's picture day! Davis took THE CUTEST school photo! Even though it took me awhile to convince him to abandon the usual Super Man tee for a collar shirt, I was SO impressed at my camera-ready charmer.

And when I saw this adorable class photo, I gasped and immediately laughed out loud! There he is, Mr. Handsome front and center!

The camera loves you baby :) Keep gettin' your grin on!
