The Amazing Spiderman

The newest Davis addiction? Spiderman! Spidie adorns not only toddler undies and the valentines we passed out, but also his clothes and toys and even took hold of Davis' play habits... Enter: The Rope Swing.


Yes it's dangerous (thank you for noting that Tim...) and could use some sort of padding below (thank you for that observation Dad...) and could be moved farther from the giant wood post (yes there's potential injury here...) but Davis can't get enough and I am actually proud of my rigging skills - He loves to swing from his trampoline perch yelling "Through the jungle!" or "Here comes Spiderman!" or "Watch me Mom! I'm crazy!" - That one kills me.


Sure it's not exactly childproof, but the kid can't get enough. Plus don't we all remember things like this from our own childhood? Yet maybe not fully encouraged by our mothers...

What a QT!

We had a blast helping cuzzie Quincy Turnbull swing into her 2nd birthday...





But Dylann got the best ride of all!

Sleepy Head

I love to tiptoe into Dylann's room while she is sleeping to see what crazy position she's in - But today, with camera in hand, I tripped on a landmine of toys, hitting an insanely loud light-up ball, which immediately went off and woke up this little lady.


Luckily she rises with a smile ;)

Party of 8

This little sweet baby! As Davis calls him, Baby Oook (translation: Baby LUKE) - He is so precious he almost makes me want another baby, hee hee...


The Fornellis came over for a President's Day bbq, making our get-together a whopping total of 8 diners! My how our 2 families have grown - We need a bigger table!

It's Crystal Clear...

Tim should have every Monday off work!


We spent Monday morning just 20 mins up the coast, exploring Crystal Cove State Park - It was magical! Dolphins jumped, butterflies flittered, sandpipers scurried, hawks soared, roadrunners ran... And Davis hustled through nature like a true animal scientist!




He explored botany and illegally picked me flowers ;)


We chased our shadows on the sand...


And Dyllie napped and napped and napped like a sleepy sea star!


By afternoon the crowds began to pour in so we hightailed it to the car, dumped the sand out of our shoes and headed home. There is no doubt, I LOVE holiday weekends :)

We've Got A Crawler!

Dylann kicked into high gear over the weekend and is officially a nudie crawlin' cutie!




Somebody is happpy to be on the move... Now she can finally chase her brother!

Snappy Birthday to You!

Snappy never ceases to have just one birthday celebration, she has an entire birthday MONTH! This lady loves to relish in her years and never shys away from the next digit - She loves her birthday, no doubt! But so do we so we ditched the kids and had part one of her bday family dinners: An adults only meal at Salt Creek Grille! Have you had their pomegranate martini? Um, I have! A few times in fact ;)

Back In The Swim

Davis is growing gills! With 2 days/week at swim class and extra play time in the school jacuzzi, he is turning into quite the confident fish.




The secret to his success? When Davis discovered his teacher and classmates are a captive audience for his constant chattering, it gave some extra umph to our buoyant boy. This guy is a talker who clearly fills his word quota each and every day, be it in water or on dry land ;) Swim on Davis!

9 Months of Dylann

Dylann my dear, you are 9 months old!

Wiggle Wormette, you are just SO CLOSE to crawling...


Though you definitely know how to find your way around a room!


Your grasp is strong (especially when pulling dinner off the table and my hair!) but your fingers are agile! You LOVE to comb the carpet each morning for scattered cheerios... Girl's gotta work for her breakfast! ;)


You love that thumbie...


And you LOVE to play... ALL DAY! I pray hourly the batteries will never die on this ball game - You and Davis crack up over it morning, noon and night!

Thank you Timmy, for turning our sour-stomached Valentines Day into a sweet treat. Tim rushed home, scooped the kidlets into the car and brought home dinner to feed the troops and flowers for the sickie on the couch - Ahhhhhh!!!! Thank you lovely Valentine! You put a smile on our silly faces!
