Home Sweet Home...

WE BOUGHT A NEW HOUSE! It has a forest in the front yard and a jungle in the back and here are the keys to this crazy, magical new place. WOAH. Just a few...

Well, it's not actually new and yes, it needs more work than the country's budget, but it's OURS and it's amazing! Tim and I fell in love with the dirt. Seriously, what's not to love about dirt! The new house has plenty of it and of course the D's are excited about that. Uncle Adam was most excited about the demolition of a fence and this is what I walked into one Sunday morning...

The good Doctor rallied the men and had that fence out in no time flat! Davis is the hardest worker of the bunch, hee hee. But seriously, he loves to go over and "work" - He has his own trimmers and for a 4-year old, is honestly super helpful! He has those Dubost genes like his Great Grandfather Ray no doubt!

So we started a "small" remodel and LOTS of tree trimming, only to find many charming surprises inside this old house... Think corroded pipes and asbestos. FUN! So what started as a face lift has now become something more like this:

I'll never forget when we met our neighbor for the first time. Dylann said "This is our new house!" with arms grandly gesturing to the humble abode, then finished with "It's broken."

Everytime we see a construction site, she says "Mom, is that the new house?" ;) And while Davis is at school we are spending every second in building supply stores and "Home Deeco" ;) This is definitely a lesson in construction and the house is a labor of love, but hopefully in early Spring we will officially be able to call it home!

Cheers to that! Of course more updates to come!

Team Toothbrush!

Why torture just one kid at the dentist when now you can torture both simultaneously!

Luckily both kids loved the dentist? Maybe because they got to watch a movie, pick out a toy and stickers, take their pic in a photo booth and play video games in the lobby? Honestly this is NOT the dentist I remember as a kid! Lucky ducks!

And PicaDyllie did AWESOME on her first visit! She loved helping get the tools ready and thought is was actually funny when they cleaned her teeth. What an odd-ball! But props to both kids because the Dentist said they have excellent spacing (oh so proud) and no cavities!

 Gooooo team toothbrush!

Cousins

These two cuzzies have a special bond so when we got to grab Emmi while Kate was at the dentist, OF COURSE Davis was pumped! We headed straight to the petting zoo for the usual guinea pig squeezing and the "irish twins" had the best time hoofin' around together.

We also got to play with cousin Cash, who is mighty cute! And my cousin Tori who obviously loved the mini train ;)

A few words about Emmi from Davis...
I like when we jump on the trampoline... and sometimes we have fun with Kyle and Dylann too. I like when she says cococoloca while dancing like this (monkey dancing with arms flailing). Did you know her favorite thing is to do is go to the mall?

Boo!

Hello Halloween! Captain America, The Black Widow and Pink Princess hit the town for tricks, treats and TOO MUCH CANDY!!!

Tim had to travel for work (BOO!) but he led the pumpkin carving charge before he left.

Dyllie was a trick or treating master. She had the head tilt, "trick or treat" and "happy halloween!" down pat. What a saleswoman! Davis made sure Pop felt how heavy his pumpkin was with candy after every single house and it's no surprise we've been eating candy after EVERY meal ;)

Fun with friends and family!
