Tim and I are so lucky to share the same birthday and though it still shocks us, we were pumped to celebrate our last birthday in our 20's, together! We had big plans... First on the agenda? Breakfast with my fam at Ruby's Diner, our fav spot for multiple reasons... First, the cinnamon swirl french toast is ridic! Second, Davis loves to watch the train go around the ceiling! Third, it is 100% acceptable to eat hot fudge sundaes at 10am!
One of our best gifts? The Franklins are here!!! Today Kate, Adam, Kyle and Emmi began a 2 week trip to Cali and that is the best birthday gift we could have wished for - Plus, Davis was ECSTATIC to see the girls and it was adorable.
After breakfast we went to a cool park to let the kids get their wiggles out and open presents, and my were there presents! I had not opened gifts in a park since my 4th grade birthday party.... And it was so fun and fulfilling I might do it every year! Thank you so much for all our loot! We were spoiled!!!
In the afternoon we got a special gift at our door - Matt Johnson! Tim + Matt = Fraternity Bros 4 Life. Matt was so sweet and brought me flowers (Tim got beer of course) and got Davis fired up to one day continue the legacy as a Sigma Alpha Epsilon....
As the day came closer to an end, the par-tay continued and my parents offered to be DD's (on Davis Duty!) while Tim and I got a fabulous double birthday date! After a long, fancy dinner, we then saw a deep, intellectual film... Hot Tub Time Machine! Tim was in greaseball guy heaven and I was thoroughly entertained by the movie and my candy, but even more fantastic was the fact that we got to return to a quiet house - Davis had a sleepover at Pop and Snappy's - What a valuable gift, for us AND for the little guy!
Thank you everyone for sending gifts, greetings and grins on our special day - We truly felt the love and appreciate each and every one of you! Just wait till the big 3-0 next year.... Save the date!
